What a find! I would recommend staying here rather than Strahan any day. A B&B with some class. Great rooms, facilities and views. Stay here when you are on the west coast o Tasmania!

I had the pleasure of staying at a charming and elegant old house for two nights, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The room I stayed in had a magnificent view of the surrounding area and was tastefully decorated. The hosts, Karen and Steve, were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. I enjoyed a relaxing evening in the sitting room playing Scrabble and indulging in wine and cheese. The breakfast the next morning was served in a beautiful dining room with fine china and delicious food. The attention to detail and the friendly hospitality of Karen and Steve made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this accommodation. a delightful and pampering experience.

Ok but small room, best place in Queenstown
Sad city, nothing to do, not even a restaurant...to eat you have to go to Strahan at 45 km,

An excellent place to stay with a wonderful host, modern decoration, comfortable rooms, and a fully equipped kitchenette for self-catering. The cooked breakfast was delicious and made with special touches. The hosts went out of their way to make our experience special. The views of Queenstown and the mountains were incredible.
Can't fault anything about it.

Staying at this historic property was an incredible experience, with the house being beautifully restored and the hosts' passion for its history shining through. Not only is it a grand building with great views, but it is also conveniently located, whether you want to be down the mountain or close to all the city centers down the west coast. The rooms are cozy, and the ensuite bathroom is small but functional. You'll feel right at home in the spacious guest lounges and will be treated to a scrumptious breakfast in the elegant dining room.
One aspect that might need improvement is the lack of central or wood heating, although each room has its own heater to make up for that.

My Easter stay was amazing, as the historical house was gorgeously decorated and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of options such as yogurt, fruit and bread. Being able to learn about the history of this stunning property was a huge advantage. the location offered great views of the surroundings.
The bathroom door could not be closed and the shower door was faulty. the floors of the room were extremely slippery, making it difficult to walk around without shoes.

The room at Penghana was so lovely and comfortable. I really enjoyed the stylish decor and the cozy sitting area by the queen bed. It felt like a peaceful oasis for a solo traveler like me. The silver service tea/coffee facilities were a nice touch too.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the black and white decorative theme in the bathroom. But hey, that's just my taste and I'm sure others might still appreciate it.
